Cryptocephalus albicans Haldeman, 1849

General description: 

Long, pale reddish-yellow body; the rims and a horseshoe-shaped hind spot on the pronotum, washed-out brighter; the seam and two unclear cross-bands on the elytra, nearly black; the pronotum without punctures, flat as glass; the elytra coarsely and unequally puncture-striped, more lightly at the back; fine, cross-wrinkled interspaces. Distribution: 

"Southern landscapes of the eastern territory (Museum Chevrol. ex Mus. Oliv., Deyrolle). Olivier himself names Carolina and Georgia as places of origin. From the same places as C. calidus, but not as prevalent (Museum Berol)." [Translated from Suffrian, 1858].

Habitat: 

Two specimens from Florida were taken on Cassia species (White, 1968).
