General description: 

Murky yellow body; the pronotum densely punctured like a grill, deeply indented on the sides, and the elytra, yellow red; the puncture-stripes form grill-like double rows with rail-shaped, alternatingly fainter interspaces, the fifth almost disappearing in the middle already. [Translated from the original German in Suffrian, 1863].
