Stegnocephala ochropa (Stål, 1857)

General description: 

Yellow body with black forehead and chest; the elytra and a speck across the front of the smooth pronotum both metallic purple-blue; the punctures and stripes fine at the edges, vanishing at the back; flat, glossy interspaces. [Translated from the original German in Suffrian, 1863].

Distribution: 

Brazil (Museum Deyrolle, where it is designated as Monachus pulchellus Dej.; also brought to Museum Berol. by van Olfers, and to Museum Holm. by Ms. Sahlberg. In Museum Holm., Rio de Janeiro was identified as the habitat of the species). [Translated from Suffrian, 1863].
