General description: 

Black body; the roots of the antennae and thighs, the abdomen, the sides of the pronotum, a spot on the scutellum, and a large arch-spot on either wings, brick-red; the pronotum flat as glass; strong puncture-stripes with smoothly curved, glossy interspaces.
