General description: 

Medium size, cylindrical, elevated, bright unicolored yellow, with sheen like varnish and stained brownish-red with the following pattern: antennae, except four basal segments, pronotum blotted with two semicircular markings in front of scutellum, this [scutellum] in its totality, and on the elytra two narrow, transverse bands, the first from humeri gently curving mesally towards basal fourth, the second zigzagging along apical fourth broadening along elytral suture towards apex, and a thin band bordering posterior margin towards lateral margin, at the base thinner, darker band. Legs amber. (Translated from Zayas, 1960: 148).

Probably associated with pines (Pinus caribaea).
