General description: 

Sulfur-yellow body; tips of antennae, black; the elytra dark blood-red with yellow mid-spots and yellow tips; the pronotum flat as glass; moderate puncture-stripes, the sixth absent and the seventh worn off, with smoothly curved, glossy interspaces. [Translated from the original German in Suffrian, 1863].
