General description:
Yellow red body; tips of antennae, scutellum and legs until the upper halves of the thighs, black; the elytra metallic blue-black; the pronotum flat as glass; coarse puncture-stripes with flat, glossy interspaces. [Translated from the original German in Suffrian, 1863].
Distribution:
Brazil (collected in Rio de Janeiro by Ms. Sahlberg; Museum Holm.). One specimen in Museum Deyrolle was, perhaps erroneously, designated as originating from Chile. [Translated from Suffrian, 1863].
